After lunch at the Bowery and ice cream across the street, I'll be leading a drive across Wayah Rd returning to Fontana. If you've never driven Wayah Rd. you're in for a treat.The drive will be somewhat spirited so be ready for some nice curves, hills and great scenery (if you get a chance to see it). wayah road has good pavement for the most part.

highly recommended.

Wayah Road has been resurfaced last spring and all the switchbacks are clean and smooth. At the end of the resurfacing take the road to the right and do it until the second parking lot. Nice twisty road with some descending radius curves so be careful. Found it last fall.

Drove it in June. Mostly repaved and much better.
