Laura and I got home about 5:00. We had a pretty good run out across the Tail, then uneventful all the way home. Well, other than the almost-7-car-pileup (5 S2000's, 1 NSX and a Beetle) on 321.

The most interesting thing about the drive home was Laura getting 25.7 mpg between Aloca and Berea, and me getting 32.4 from Berea to home. Ha!

Yep! Home safe and sound. Car had to go to Toyota Monday morning. We'll see what was going on with it.

What was going on with it? never knew you had any problems
It showed up after I ate breakfast on Sunday just before our last drive up The Dragon. Toyota says I have a crank sensor issue that caused a faulty start and CEL and VSC light to come on. The VSC was so invasive on my last run that I slowed down to a civil cruising speed for my run. The car ran fine. I didn't hear any issues but when I tried to crank the car after stopping with Flo and Jon to buy shirts it took me 4 tries to crank the car. It's been an intermittent issue recently so I gave it to Toyota and contacted Full Blown. We'll sort it all out.

But I am praying that Toyota covers it under my warranty and that the issue is as simple as they mentioned to me last night.

Yeah I hope they take care of you. Seems weird that a crank sensor would impact VSC like that, but I guess it uses engine speed as well as wheel speeds

I'm surprised Toyota will go anywhere near it with that turbo kit on there. Someone mentioned earlier in the week that it was supercharged, and I didn't pay much regard at the time. It wasn't until late saturday that you had the hood popped and I saw the big turbo. What kind of power are you putting down?

Jane and I unwound Sunday with our usual leisurely trip down through Bryson City then up through the GSMNP, to the Artist's Loop north of Gattlinburg (lot of shops closed, but still worth the trip), then back to "our condo" (not really, but we rent the same one each year for a little more than a motel, subtract the steak dinner and breakfast Jane whips up in the kitchen, then less than a motel!!! Check out: Highland Condominiums, Gattlinburg) in the mountains. Plenty of reading and wine. watching the clouds trying to get over the ridges. Blasted home Monday, no tickets, for once! Including stop to pick up dog, 12 hours, car ALWAYS gets 29 mpg, 75-85 (saw 94 once). Had a wonderful time, again!

Finally made it home last night around 5pm. I'd like to go back to sleep now.
