We made it home safely at 8pm tonight after leaving Fontana at 7:45 this morning. I took a different route, using the map, and had a blast in the Six Gap area, most especially on 180, starting at Vogel State Park sign. 75 was stopped in N FL at I-10, but luckily we found a way around and got back on 75 beyond the mess. Thanks to everyone for making this the best Dragon trip ever!

Sorry to hear about your car, Mike.

left with jvf1 and fn-2187 at 7 am, and crossed the border just about 9 pm. stopped for more BBQ on the way home. temperature swung from a high of 90F to a low of 55F once we got north of DET.
time to put the car in the garage and deal with it tomorrow.

We (Melody, Lil Chalupa, and I) left Fontana around 9AM after a great breakfast with Mark and Mary & Nicky and Tullie. After spending mother's day with Mel's family in Asheville we finally arrived home in Durham around 10:15PM.

As I passed 3 Corvettes on 28 doing XXmph, it was my luck that those pesky blue and red lights came on. As I slowed and started to pull over the trooper flew past me on a way to a different call...

The Way of the Dragon.

Oh no, sorry to hear Mike!

Be sure to ask the dealer for the left over throw out bearing grease, to ensure they used the high temp stuff! We've used the left over grease on a couple other projects. I'm sure the dealer probably uses the right stuff, but I was not happy when mine went out after using the wrong grease...

We got home in decent time, only delay was another biker wreck on 75! We probably just missed visiting you all on the parkway by a split second choice to head down 129.

Made it home about 5PM and is typical for Charleston, ran into wreck traffic on I-26.
I had a great time, pleasure meeting everyone. Many thanks to Aaron for heading up the drives he took us on and for lending the radio.

Made it home by 5:30, after ensuring the OKI crew got back to Cincinnati (see Mike's post). Pulled into the driveway with 336 miles on the odometer, after filling up at the Exxon by the Knoxville airport. I still had 2 bars on gas gauge. Will give the Berlina a wash after work today.

Great memories and great friends. Posted a few pictures on the Facebook page.

After heading for the Buffalo border, one missed turn and we crossed at Port Huron. It was another nice drive around GSMNP. LOL
Home at 9:45 Pm after a 7 AM departure with a 15 minute lunch. Only 2350 miles this year for me.
