This one post up top in one thread will include all drives, drinks, bonfires, cabin parties, meets, dinners, tech days, breakfasts, all of it...

I think we can have a packed timeline. So if you have an exact time of your drive, dinner, breakfast, whatever, please post what it is and the time and day. I will add it all to this top post in chronological order.

PLEASE post what you know. Ken & other Moderators feel free to add items to this post with what you know. I will add all posts to the timeline as things get posted.

I meant to ask you if you were going to do the Fluffy Clouds and Puppy Dogs run again this year (but I should have known you would). I haven't added it to the itinerary because this a very specialized drive.

 

Who's leading this? I know how to get there and plan to go again, I may join you guys on Friday

Well this first started with my desire to cruise through Smokey Mountain National Park on my own, but I thought that I'd put it out there for others to join in. The one group trip being planned for Clingman's Dome was for Thursday, but I won't be arriving at Fontana Village until Thursday night so I thought I'd do a trip on my own.

I can lead the drive. I haven't really spent much time on the roads in the area, but I have it mapped out well enough on my GPS. I've been through the park and Gatlinburg before, but I haven't spent much time around the Dragon or Fontana Village before. I'd gladly let others lead the drive, but I could do it if needed. My plan is to drive east from Fontana Village and enter the backside of the park by Cherokee, and up to the peak of Clingman's Dome, then down the front of the park to Gatlinburg. Then return to Fontana Village in reverse order.

I can lead if you like, I know how to get there. What we did last year is go down 28 to 74 and then to 441. Then drive through the park and when we came back down, we continue to take 441 into Gatlinburg. On the way back, we went through route 73, then the foothalls, and then did the dragon and returning to Fontana.
