Default RTD 2021 Bourbon Tasting

OK... tradition has it that at Dragon events, there must be a bourbon tasting!!!

Saturday evening in the lobby.....
Bring one (or two) of your favorites, or bring something that has good reviews...

I'll have plenty of the sample cups for everyone to use.

Even if you don't drink, stop by and meet lots of people, and have a great time!

I think I can scrounge up something for this. Maybe that bottle of Jim Beam that's been sitting in my liquor cabinet for the last 10 years.

I am sure that I will be there but I don't know what I will bring yet. My brother in law keeps talking about some bottle he has that is aged at sea. I feel like my selections are limited since liquor government regulated here in NC and I don't know if I could find anything to bring that is all that special.

It's the same in VA but if you look at the NC ABC website, they have some "special" things you have to order. When my parents lived in Concord, the liquor sore used to special order something for them.

Probably Jeffersons Ocean Aged at Sea....

Its claim to fame is barrels are put on ships for months, and the waves get the whiskey to touch more of the barrel surfaces more often.

Its pretty tasty.

Most states who are controlled.... will still do picks at distilleries.

They go down, sample 3-5 barrels and pick one and have it bottled just for them.

Keep your eyes out for those, they normally are pretty good!

At least for my preferences, I'd stay away from the Makers Mark Private Selects.....
