If you are in the area, I will be in Fontana by lunch. I plan on doing a pre-run of my Saturday drive.

I was planning on doing a long drive Wednesday including parts of your drive going the other way. My plan was do the normal drive all the way to Highlands then south on 28 to north on 107, jump over to 130/281 (there appears to be a road to do this), up to 64, east to 215 north up to near Canton then take your saturday backward the rest of the way back to Fontana.

 

I have a baseball game to umpire Tuesday night, but plan to leave Wright-Patterson AFB, on Wednesday, by 0600, to arrive at the Fontana by 1230-1245. If your drive isn't to crazy, I can meet up with you.

 

Sounds good, since we're going in opposite directions maybe we can meet halfway-ish and I'll turn around head back to Fontana with you.

 

I am planning to get there Tuesday afternoon. Hoping to get a few runs in on the dragon before the weekend traffic hits. I might be up for doing some pre-drive driving as well.

 

Just using google maps it looks like if you leave Fontana about 1pm on wednesday you should be to Hot Springs about 4pm. If I leave Fontana about 10am I'll be in Hot Springs about 4pm. We can just keep in touch and try to work it out to meet up there then I'll turn around follow you back to Fontana.

 

I may go with you, Bob. See me at the lodge Wednesday morning before you leave.

That's deifinitely the long way round. You missed the side trip to Raleigh, I think.

 

We start in NC, drop thru GA into SC then back into NC. We just need to add something at the end to hit TN too.
