I will be taking those who are at Fontana and want to join me for a drive to meet the OKI group in Maryville on Thursday 5-11-23. We will likely leave from the lodge and take a leisure stroll through the Dragon and up the Foothills parkway with a quick stop in Maryville to pick up some stragglers. Once we are all together, we will make our way to Gatlinburg for dinner at The Park Grill. From there we head back the way we came and usually break into two groups as we go across the Dragon. The first group will Braveheart their way across at the maximum speed their night eyes will allow, paving the way for the rest of us to....well, take our time

All I ask is that you sign up, so we have a head count for dinner.

I will set up a time and place to meet at Fontana as we get closer to the event.

Hey Tim, when and where are you wanting folks to meet up for this drive?

 

We will meet up at the lodge. Probably line up off the end of the upper parking lot. I don't have a set departure time yet since we will need to coordinate with Mike and when they will arrive in Maryville. It will definitely be after lunch and we usually leave before 2pm.

 

Thinking we arrive at the Exxon around 3-3:30......

But, never know with this group..... could be 2:30 if my gas pedal gets stuck.... could be 4:30 if I-75 is closed down due to a landslide..... Its a crap shoot.

I'd plan on us arriving 3:00-3:30....

 

Or a gung-ho park ranger!

 

That would be AFTER we met at the Exxon station.....
