Home in 14 hours. Thank you Ken, organizers and all the drive leaders. Another great event in the books! It was really awesome seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

We made a couple of Dragon runs with Hannah, had breakfast with Justin and Melody at the Gap. Made arrangements for a noon checkout so we make a couple more Dragon runs. Left Fontana at noon give or take, 2 stops for gas one for lunch and walked in the door at 7pm eastern.

Just got back to WV at 8:00. Ate breakfast with the Ohio group at about 9:00am and hit the Dragon then stopped at one of the Ohio groups' family's cabin near Gatlinburg. Left there at 12:00pm, missed a few turns here and there on the way back for a loss of maybe 30mins. Ate lunch in Marion VA and then hit the 'Back of the Dragon' and got behind the SLOWEST group of 4 motorcycles in the history of motorized travel. I'm not kidding they were going below the marked turn speeds and there was nowhere to pass. I could have passed them on a bicycle. A bunch of crotch rockets passed them in turns on the double yellow. That added at least 30 more mins to the trip. The good news is I had a great time. Best driving experience I've ever had and made some friends in the process!

got back with jvf1 about 10:30 pm after running devil's triangle, finding a good Indian place for dinner (in OHIO no less), then soon after being sent off I75 at Dayton, OH for some massive fire, and driving tentatively thru solid rains and pooling water for the last 2 hours home.

thanks again!

Made it home a little before 5:00....

Took I-71 thru Cincy due to a wreck on i-75, only to be stuck behind a wreck on I-71! Ugghhh....

I can tell you zenairdave didn't make it "home" last night..... we found him wandering around Cincy and took him and Iris in for the night!

Yes, despite trying to loose us when I forgot to turn on our radio, we got together again and followed a car going the right direction. That worked to Cincinnati. Maybe I will make it home Monday.

What the hell was a cop doing out on the dragon at 4:30am?

Got home about 2pm.
That was our group that went by. Looked to me to be a silver Acura TSX that had rolled

Yea, you left in a hurry! Couldn't even say bye to Retta lol

I left after breakfast at Deal's Gap around 9:00am, made it back to Atlanta (with a bit of a rain delay) at 12:30pm safe and sound. Now off to the tire shop to fix my lug nut (front one broke off because they over-torqued it) and get another tire ordered for the passenger rear side. All in all a great time as always. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
