Default Saturday Drive - After the Rollout (10 cars MAX!) - FULL

PJCC (Pedro) has volunteered to lead a 2nd group!!! See his thread for details! https://www.s2ki.com/forums/dragon-e.../#post24154002

================================================== =============

OK..... going to do a drive at moderate/quick pace (5-20 mph over) after the Rollout.

Leave the lot across from the Harley Store promptly at 10:15 (make sure you have gone to the bathroom before that, and have at least a 1/2 tank of gas!) and head to Tellico Plains for lunch at Tellico Grains Bakery (Tellico Grains Bakery Stories, Recipes, and Adventures from a Village Bakery).

From there, down Rt 68 (have done this road the last couple of events)...to Rt 294 to US 74 (gas stop around here) to US 64, with a short side trip around part of Chatuge Lake and then over to Franklin. Then take Rt 28 back to Fontana.

Drive will take 4.5 hours (after the Rollout!) plus stops (lunch, gas, ice cream, etc). Estimating we will get back to Fontana 4:30-5:30.

Limit is 10 cars MAX!!! THIS DRIVE GROUP IS NOW CLOSED, REACHED THE 10 CAR LIMIT!!! Sign up for the 2nd group at https://www.s2ki.com/forums/dragon-e.../#post24154002

Here is the route we will be taking (might change a little bit)....

I HIGHLY recommend doing 315 South/southwest from Tellico Plains, instead of 68. It is far less travelled with higher speed limits- some incredibly fun corners.

Also, you will be near a really interesting road called candy mountain- also, you'll be right near the Hiawassee Dam access road (and you'll get to drive OVER the dam itself) then this also dovetails into the action on Joe Brown Highway.
here, check this out.

I've done this one several times.

Tons of good roads in the area..... by taking 315 would add another 45 minutes.... trying to keep the drive time under 5 hours after the rollout.
