Saturday Drive - Hilltops and Hollers
Hill Tops & Hollers Run – Organizers: Florian (funat9000rpm)
This post has been edited, as the original one was from the spring Rockin' the Dragon Event. The map and route is basically the same, but the drive will be lead by our own Flo Monster...fun@9000rpm. He's also scouted out a new, cool place for lunch in Maryville this time.
This drive will head to Happy Valley for a “spirited”
romp through some twisty-turny back roads of TN. However, portions of this drive go through residential areas, so those sections will be quite moderate. The drive will take approximately 1 hour, followed by lunch in Maryville. We'll then gas up and return to the Dragon via the Foothills Parkway. Assuming we leave the now-paved gravel lot around 11:15, lunch should be about 12:30, putting you back at Deals Gap/Fontana Village between 2:30-3:00.
Departure: Following the Monster Rollout and group photo, the drive will leave from the paved lot at the end of the Dragon. Be sure you're gassed up before the Monster rollout.

Quick update- I'm in Maryville this weekend and scouting out new places for lunch (I even visited the Tomato Head in Knoxville yesterday- just couldn't resist 
). There's a place called Barley's which seems like a good Tomato Head replacement. I'm going there today to see if they could accommodate us, and also to sample their food I also saw this on their website, so I thought this was a great place for us
Please let me know if there is any place else you'd like for me to check out, I'm here (in Maryville) the entire weekend*

We'll be doing the Hilltops & Hollers drive on Saturday for those who wish to spend more time on the Dragon and would prefer a shorter group drive. The drive will be moderately paced, as it will lead through back road residential areas and thus requires extreme caution from the driver. Lunch is tentatively scheduled at Barley's which, if you've been on the Hilltops & Hollers drive in years past, is a viable alternative to our beloved Tomato Head.
