For those of you attending the Dragonball Run in September, please take a moment to vote on your prefernce of lunch for Saturday!

This is what I found for Robbinsville, North Carolina for local restaurants. . .

BLACK KNIGHT RESTAURANT

DUNGEON

HARDEE'S

JOYCE KILMER RESTAURANT

PAPA'S PIZZA TO GO

PHILLIPS RESTAURANT

SUBWAY SANDWICHES & SALADS

THUNDERBIRD LAKESIDE RESORT

TOOTIE'S PLACE

TUSKEEGEE MOTEL & RESTAURANT

WASHBOARD

WOW! Just really gets your appetite going!

S2kDude and I talked and we prefer a planned lunch at a picnic area (very similar to S2kDays. . .without the 3 hour wait. . .joking).

We could possibly get Honey Baked Ham Co. to make some sandwiches from Knoxville and S2kDude's buddy who has a Ford SVT Lightning truck will do the honors! Please vote what you prefer!

Thanks everyone!

I like the idea of a picnic lunch (without the wait) because it will give us more time to mingle, enjoy the weather, and breath some fresh mountain air.

Also, if we all split up and go to various restaraunts then it will be difficult to round up the group and get going again.

Hey Guys

I guess you know who the one vote for "on your own"is.

Just to address the round-up issue. Robbinsville is a very small town. The gathering place was to be the Ingles parking lot. From there most all the eating establishments are within walking distance (i.e. a few 100 yards).

But........I could change my mind about the "catered" lunch if you guys are coordinating it and you make sure my sandwich is lightly toasted with mustard and no mayo.j/k

Mack:

Very funny. . .

We would be able to do the same as S2kDays and have the sandwiches VOID of any condiments! What kind of "eating establishments" did you observe?

Your list is pretty complete. I think there are probably one or two other fast food joints in the area.

If the plan changes we could make a run from the Dragon over to Fontana Damn (pretty and very impressive) for lunch and then hit the head for the Skyway.

I'm flexible.

Mack:

What you are suggesting at Fontana Damn is for a picnic style lunch. . .correct?

Or are you referring to more restaurant choices?

Sorry I didn't make that clear.....

Yes, picnic lunch at Fontana, if S2KDude is willing to coordinate it and have his buddy with the truck take care of delivery.

If, by chance, his buddy doesn't make it I think we need to keep the Robinsville option open.

I want to see 30+ S2000's in the drive thru at McDonalds!!!

Picnic would be my choice. Gives you time to stretch your legs more, and as long as the food is on time, means we get back to driving quicker
