Summer dragon thursday drive
 

I need at least one wing man to check out the East Foothills Parkway. Most of you will have never been on it,(including me),it will be a loop on 32(soon to be Dragon tail east) and back on the Parkway. It should take 1.5 hrs and will return to Gatlinburg where the Cincinnati group will have likely just left for the West Foothills and Dragon. We will be chasing them to Fontana. Remember we have an extra hour of daylight at this event. Who is in? Anyone in the Cincinnati caravan or Ken's Maryville to park grill drive will be in the right place at the right time. Drive leaves after supper.

Certainly. BTW, have you ever used 25E from London KY to near gatlinburg?

I think that is the route WestSideBilly took us on one year..... took frickin forever to get to Fontana or wherever we were staying that year!!

Lots of small towns, lots of traffic.... took forever.

OK. I will check out 25E on my way home on Sunday if the mood strikes me.

The group usually leaves in stages after supper. No rush, don't want to miss anything, but I will try to be one of the first to get going since I have a mission.

I pre-ran 32 at that "other " spring event and the road is worth a return visit. It is just 30 minutes East of Gatlinburg. Depending who is with me, it will be done in a loop or out and back type of run. I will let the attendee's decide. As an added bonus, some of the summer traffic should gone by the time we return to the GSMNP, foothills parkway and Dragon.
