No need to even bring it as there will be PLENTY of that around...can't even sell it.

I know that I speak for quite a few participants at this year's event in renewing a request that I have made on prior occasions and more than once. It's all well and good to talk about what to bring and what not to bring. Lots of good advice has been offered on this thread as well as others although a fair share of that advice reminds me of the adage that "One gets what one's pays for free advice." But I digress and must return back to the subject at hand.

More times than I care to remember my requests go unheaded, not only here but at home. I am sure that it is not due to the merits of my requests, but more to the fact that my requests, if granted, will likely only be appreciated by at best a substantial minority of attendees. Irrespective, I am duty bound to renew my admonition.

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT STARBUCKS IS ON OFFER AT FONTANA VILLAGE? Why can't Raul secure Starbucks as an event sponsor? It's great to talk of beer runs, car washes and paintless dent removal--all worthy things indeed. But I am talking about Starbucks--and Pike's Place, a full-bodied brew with a hint of cocoa and a slight bitterness, raw sugar and half-and-half. Let's get our priorities straight here.

Who's in charge? Isn't anyone in charge?

You must have been talking to someone else in the group who wants Starbucks in in the morning....

Just drive to Marysville... Pigeon Forge, Alcoa and you can get your fix....

Or pick up a bag of beans at your local grocery store... and brew your own (and share!!!).

Ok...seriously...we can make this happen!

I have a secret fantasy of becoming a Starbucks Barista...LMFAO!!

We can do the coffee. Let me see if we can bring bags of Starbucks out and have Fontana brew 'em and set up a little coffee hut at the Ballfield for the driver's meet.

On a serious note (another one)...I did ask Starbucks back in 2003 or 2004 for sponsorship and they were a little receptive, but that was when we were in Alcoa. Being in Fontana, that won't happen.

You know . ....... hummm........ you could probably set up a table(s) in the Lodge Lobby and have several pots of coffee with several blends brewing each morning .. and make it a social event ......... maybe even offer some bagels .....

Raul is this something we could do or do we need Fontana Village permission?

For those of you who are in cabins (like me) stop at a grocery store on the way through the last big town and stock up on food/brews, etc! Most cabins have fridges and stoves! I'll be cooking when I'm not driving or hiking!
