Wallhala to Fontana route 28 drive
Well, I have driven into Fontana now on every north to south approach I can find. It's time for new roads. My current plans are to arrive in the Clemson/Greenville/Spartansburg area on Wednesday in preparation for a 3 1/2 hour run to Wallhala and up Route 28 through Franklin to Fontana. this road is billed as being very "S" worthy.
Anyone interested in meeting up in Greenville to make the drive with me? Also, as I recall from last spring, Route 28 had some construction on it. Are they done, and if not, any reccomendations for detours? Post up!
I can't wait for DBRX!!!!!!!

I almost prefer that Route 28 drive to the Dragon; less traffic, fewer LEOs, and more variation in the turns. It's a great drive!!

You may also want to consider Wayah Road from Franklin over to 129, south of Fontana. It is usually deserted and the climb from Franklin is great, followed by a nice descent along the upper reaches of the Natahala River
