Default What are the roads like?

This is getting serious. 4 weeks until I head down for the Reptile Run and my car is snowed into a barn(southern Ontario) and not able to even get to a road. Never mind the fact the road is snow or salt and sand covered. I am still snowmobiling to work because I can and it is a good 'driving' fix but seriously??? We never have snow this late. Last year the weather was good prior to the event and then NC and TN and VA got a very late snowfall and the roads were covered with sand and gravel when we got down there.
Is the Dragon area suffering from the same snow or has it not reached down that far south? Post up guys if you are between Buffalo NY and the Dragon. How far South does this snow go?
Who has some summer wheels to loan me so I can come down on snowtires?

We had snow up until today when the temps climbed into the 40's. They'll be in the 60's by Monday. Sand isn't the problem in VA, salt is. There is still piles of salt in places where the plows stopped at traffic lights. We need a good storm of the liquid variety to wash this nonsense away.

I live next to the gap and weather is good here. Temps are starting to get warmer (late 50s into early 70s on some days). Come April, it will be really good and warm. No more snow here, I'm pretty sure we've seen the last of it so far here in east tn.

I'm certain there will be some rain that passes through the area by the time the event comes around. As far as I know it's never been an issue in the past (could be wrong).

Unless you're coming to Fontana via California, you don't have too much to worry about. (They only have mudslides when we're NOT there).
