Default WTD Feedback Thread

everyone, and THANKS again to this fabulous community for making this the best WTD ever!

We try to learn and get better with each event and you can help us (the organizing team) by giving us your feedback on what you liked and what improvements or changes can be made for future WTD and DBR's.

What was new this time: (thanks to previous feedback)
- Later, longer welcome reception (too bad the weather killed our outdoor space and bonfire, but hey...we'll try again!)
- Group picture
- Afternoon organized drives
- Better sound system for dinner; 2 food lines to speed things up.

Things we're already working on:
- Faster, more efficient registration (no waiting!)
- Online payment
- Improvements in quantity of food provided by Fontana

Others? Post your ideas and feedback here!

This event was about spot on. Not much you can do about the weather cancelling plans.

One suggestion...the presentation at the dinner was cool...but I think many had a hard time reading it. There are a few things that could have helped...dimmer lights, contrasting colors...etc.

The one suggestion I would really like to see implemented would be by Fontana. They did a great job adding wifi for the lodge...it is strong enough to make it pretty far into the cabins. A repeater located in a cabin a little further back would probably give all the cabins wifi. That would be sweet.

This is my third time staying in the cabin, and unfortunately, the worst experience yet.

- No hot water. People came by, looked at the outside of the lodge, came inside, ran the water a bit, and then left.
- No towels. Had to go to the front desk to get them.
- No Pots (had to borrow from Pete)
- Ant family.... I went to complain at the front desk and they gave me a can of ant spray. No followup from the lodge about the issue.. They were all over the living room, kitchen, and in the master bathroom.

From the S2ki event staff, everything was smooth as always... Nothing can be done about the power going out on Sat. night so there should be no complaints about that... Mother Nature is out of everyones hands.

^ I agree.

You pay 400+ for the room and the service was just horrible. more than just bad. some people need to get fired. with almost 200 S that weekend, they made tons of money but they can seem to get it right. its not our fault that the power went out nor it was theirs but at least they can be helpful and not be pissed at the customers. lol.

We heard good comments on the dinner quality; good food, just not enough of it for those who came later. They ran out of roast pork loin and potatoes, plus the cobbler portions were pretty stingy!

For lunch; heard the ham sandwiches were good, as were the wraps, but that the wraps needed to more than double their filling. They were mostly tortilla.

...and we can't even blame the food shortage on WSB!

I know that the power outage is out of their hands so I didn't really have any issue with that.. I did hear that some people were a bit upset about how it was handled though when they went to the front desk and inquired about it..

Yup, as far as the dinner goes, the Miami crew didn't have any. We got caught up in the fog and made it back at the start of the raffle.
