Default Which Direction Washer install for Differential Fluid Change

Hello,

Just ordered 2 Washers (Replacement washers 90402-PCZ-003, 90401-PCZ-003) for the differential fill and drain bolts.

Which direction do the washer get installed. One side is flat, other little lifted.

Thank you

it doesn't really matter. For some reason I always put the rounded edge to the underside of the bolt, and the squared side or flat side to the sump pan. When you snug it down it eventually flattens both sides the same. I tend to use my washers twice, on the second drain and fill I flip the washer and re-use it. I'm sure someone out there won't approve but I've never spilled a drop doing it that way for 9 years. Honda difff and tranny washers are over-priced but I wouldn't use any other so I just re-use them one time after initial use.
