I have a 2002 and a couple days ago the cluster lights started flashing after I shut the door, kind of like a strobe effect. This went away after a couple of minutes. It started again the next day. When the door is open with the ignition on the lights are fine. When I shut the door they start to flash. Nothing else seems to be affected, the car still runs and drives perfect. Also the remote will not lock the doors, you have to use the key. If the door is open you can flip the lock but once you close the door you cannot lock it from the inside. I replaced the door jamb switch but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Do you have an aftermarket alarm or any wiring mods?

There is a plug in for a cell phone into the radio controls, I have owned the car 1 1/2 years and it has worked fine. The radio light sometimes goes dim but not very often. I do not know if any wiring mods were done.

Check earths on back of the cylinder head

I'll check that out, thanks. I can barely see it but Not sure how to get to that in case you have an idea?
