I've got and 06'. I have seen a lot about swaps for the S2K. I have read about J32/35s, LS1/3s++, K24s, 2JZs, and Coyotes being swapped in the S2000. Shoot, I've even seen where someone put a Viper V10 in one. That being said, I have scoured the Internet, to no avail, for information about dropping in a Lexus/Toyota 2GR-FE V6. I am putting this out there to see if anyone can give me some more info about this.

 

I would love to see this... if I ever blow my engine, I'd like to do something wacky like a 2GR-FE with a Lotus supercharger. K swaps are too basic and its difficult to make them not sound like a rice can, J series is too under-square and just a meh engine, JZ's are boat anchors, and V8's are just silly in a car like this. The 2GR keeps the over-square, free-revving exotic soul that makes the car so rewarding and can sound truly amazing. Glad somebody else had the same idea. The MR2 guys can probably provide some insight but all I've seen are transverse-based applications, not sure what kind of longitudinal mounting and transmission options exist, if at all. Now let the purists rage!
