Why don't more people go J-series? What am I missing?

Who said anything about going into production? It's a swap car. Though you did gloss over the HR35TT which absolutely went into production and has been raced.

There are like zero ties between an S2000 and the new NSX.
The NSX is also not powered by a stock Accord/Odyssey V6.

Now we're talking nearly 30 year old cars & not the new NSX? Dude stop moving the goalposts to justify the way you spend your money.

Good god. I was just ****ing with you since it was obviously pushing your buttons. I don't need to justify how I spend my money. I'm an adult. Clearly you don't think a J-swap is for you. I don't feel the same, and that's ok.

j series swap
had to get involved, i have run a j series in my beetle and have raced and driven or fro OVER 12,000 miles. been on two 4000 mile rallies and had a pro driver race it twice (Randy Pobst). i have done NOTHING but put oil in this thing, which i got from JDM engine depot for $400 LOL ... these motors are dead reliable in my opinion. we have since bolted an Eaton M90 blower on it and raced it like that with Zero problems (except we ripped 4th gear off the trans LOL). when tuned with the blower it made 353hp to the wheels and 310 ft tq at only 6500. we have also put on in an 87 vanagon that pulls the wheels ( the van is DEAD stock, not lightened at all) and drove it on the last rally 400o miles LOL. in my opinion, if your looking for a great swap thats pretty easy to do and will run great ... the J series is a killer. here is a video of the dyno pull if anyone is interested
