Post Want to be a UK group leader

Hi all

Well subscription has now finished and we did far better than I could have ever imagined - 63 cars in total. We are the best represented nation by a long way

I am looking for volunteers to come forward to help organise the group drives down to Italy and back, we can't all go in a huge convoy of 63 cars, that would be a real nightmare !!

Some of you will want to do your own thing, but ideally we can hopefully get 6 or 7 groups of around 8 cars to do the journey together.

I've been so busy that I have genuinely forgotten the guys who came forwards and offered to lead earlier in the year, although I do recall that Wineboar, Kiwi and GarethB said they would help out.

So if you would like to help us and participate in organising a group, please let it be know in this thread.

Thanks.

Volunteers

Kiwi-S2000
Kawasakivtec
Barrie Caton
Gaspode & Hudsonbay
Wineboar
Johnsie
Neaput - Looking for somebody to team up with.
Andy2000 - Looking for somebody to team up with.

Ed aka Echo66 is more than happy to give advice and guidance to anyone who wants to run a group. Ed is very experienced and has done a lot of these so please feel free to use his knowledge. I would ask that you respect his request not to be contacted by PM, but rather to post up in the forum with any questions and he'll do his best to answer.

Thanks.

Well, what exactly is involved.
A comfortable paced drive is fine for me.

1200 miles is a lot of road and giving it the beans all the way down is going to be too much. Especially as we are driving when we get there.

I've got a few walkie talkie's I can share out.

But before I commit - I would like to know what I am signing up to.

Hi Lee,

I am happy to help, I already have a route and a few people have expressed interested in tagging along with me.

You could class out drive/Route as the early birds, and a slow relaxed drive, stopping off at a few places of interest on way.

Also I already have a couple of Scott's Radios, and they well quite well.

Hope that helps

Kiwi

Thanks to those of you who have come forward so far and offered your help - much appreciated.

I've started a list on the first post of this thread with the volunteers names.

We just need a few more of you to come forwards to offer your help and assistance. Don't be shy !!

I'm not sure when I'll be leaving yet but I'd love to meet up with you guys at some stage along the way
