24 hrs Le Mans
Hi Pancho
We are at least 10-15 people there from Lux, and this year I'm there in the Honda. We are located on the Karting Nord camp site, and will probably go for seats on the "Total" grandstand. Other of the mates which arive from the UK and DK will be on Houx Anee, with around 20 more people !
So see you there !
Lets arrange a track trip Friday evening then !
What kind of Lambo are you bringing ?

Hi Pancho
Have you been to Le-Mans before ? and where are you going to stay ?
But it could be really fun to meet out on the track friday evening, there is always loads of cool cars "parked" between the Indianapolis and Arnage corners between 19:00 and 21:00

Hi Pancho
If you want to camp, well almost everybody do that. Then you better order some camp site tickets fast, since they are almost impossible to get in the last minute. Normally these are 125 FF, and then you can park 1 vehicle, is does not matter if it's a mobile home, car or a truck !
Almost all camp sites are located either on the indide of the track, or just outside the track. So you are guranteed some great "Music" during the time of the race.
If you want to stay at hotels, then I think it's almost impossible to find anything close to the track, at this time. But of cause if you want to stay in Le-mans ville or even further away then there should not be a problem. Except that you will have to get to and from the track each day.
We usually arrive thursday evening, since it's much easier to get a place in the camping area, especially when you arrive with a whole caravan of mobile homes and cars
The added bonus to this, is that on thursday evening they are running the night qualification between 19:00 and 21:00 and again between 22:00 and 24:00.
And then Friday evening a lot of people, roll out to the track, which mainly is public roads. And at this time they are not shut off yet, so one have the chnace to drive down along the mulsanne straight.

Hi Bart
I just found my prelimenary order confirmation, and that was send to me back in mid septemebr 2001
You can order the tickets by A.C.O, Automobile Club du Ouest, which is organising the whole race, they can be reached at www.lemans.org or at this phone number: 02 43 40 24 24, you will of cause have to add french dialing number in front.
But the problem with these guys are, that you don't get the tickets until the very last moment (beginning of June). And last year we did not have the nerves to wait, so we ordered tickets in the UK at MRI (Motor Racing International). But these was extremely expensive, compared to the prices ACO takes. And then three weeks before the race, a girl calls from ACO, and asks me how I want to pay for the six ticktes i had ordered
.
So this year, my nerves will be made out of steal, and I'll just wait.......
