Brake Light Help!
I need some help. My break Light on my 2000 Honda S2000 cluster will not go off when I put the parking brake down. It has brake fluid and I change my brake pads about 2 or 3 months ago. It doesnt feel like the parking brake is on when the handle is down. IDK I need some help.

thanks how can i fix this problem where is the switch at on the handle hand?
I'd start by removing the center console cover

It may just need to be cleaned and re-lubricated
I've spilt drinks on my center console in previous cars (Honda's) and realized the brake light issue. hth
Thanks Bandiscoot I check the switch it is working perfect nothing was sticky on the switch it moves up and down perfect.
IDk what else to do I check everything fluids, bulbs, brake pedal switch and even unplug the battery. i reseted the maint. light. I think im about to call honda so they can look at it next week. Unless anybody might know what the problem might be.

check the switch with a multimeter or continuity tester, it may just be bad, when the switch is down there should not be continuity, when it's up. there should be. if that is not the case just replace the switch.
if you don't have the equipment to test it, either remove the switch, and or take the take to a good car stereo place and they should be able to put a meter on it and test it for a few dollars, provided the console is already out, and the switch is easy to get to

OK, I can tell you exactly what's going on. (from experience)
There is a little float inside the brake reservoir that gets saturated with fluid and then will not float anymore! so it always sends a signal that that fluid is low. to verify, you can stick something in there to raise the float and the light will go off. But as soon as you release it, it will sink and the light will come back on.
There is no way, that i can tell to take it apart to replace. Honda wants to replace the whole brake cylinder to repair... uh, no, i can live with a little light on my dash thanks!
maybe theres a way to disable the light if it bugs you...
