Default Headlight problem

Ok, the other day I was on my way home from work (8:30 pm) and I noticed that on comming traffic kept flashing me. I was thinking WTF? So the next stoplight I get to I look at my headlight pattern on the back of a pickup truck and notice that my drvers side headlight is out. Im thinking to myself that this is werid, so I turn my headlights off, then back on. Ok, this did the trick. Both headlights are now on. So I'm cruzing and I come to this dark part of town as I'm driving home and notice that the drivers side headlight is out again. So I turn my headlights off then back on again and they both come on. So I finally get home, get out of my car, and walk to the front of my car, while its still running and headlights on. Pretty soon my drivers side headlight turns off again. I check all the wiring and the connection going to the bulb and everything is fine but my one headlight keeps cutting out. Has anyone encountered this or a simmilar problem with their headlights? Could it be my bulb going bad? Could it be my ballast going bad? Any info on a solution to fix this problem would be greatly appereceated.

Thanks
~Clinton

Clinton, the reason your headlight is doing that is probably because you should quit putting on and off your steering wheel like a whore. And sell your hood to me for $100 or less will also fix the problem. J/K man, I don't know shet about headlights but at least I offer to help. Let me know!!!

so the HID is the one going out? if so, the ballast may be going bad or the bulb is on it way out.

Exactly what primo said clint. I had the exact same problems with my civic when I had my gouremt garage (mccolough) hids. The bulb burned out eventually and the ballast was also fried. I'd say you prolly need to replace one or the other or worst case both.
