has your mechanic identified what caused the blown motor? your car had a SC on it right?

 

Are you interested in selling the car with the blown motor?

Sucks to hear about the motor. Dunno what would cause the block to score on #1 without something else being really wrong.

 

I spent the last week putting a freshly built AP1 F20C in my 2006 and converted it over to DBW and FlashPro. I'm looking forward to trying 9000 RPM. You can buy any F20C/F22C you can find in good condition and make it work in your 2006.

 

I was in a similar situation as you.

Either find a sub 35k mile JDM spec F20C (lol good luck I tried for a year)
Or spoon long block for 9k+ landed
Or a donor car and a four year long LS3 track build to build an easier fixed/cheaper to run track platform

Spoon might help resale value a bit as most Honda fans have a hugely disproportionate Spoon boner.
