FS HKS 75mm Single Exhaust Like NEW in box, 70mm Invidia Test Pipe w/Branch Resonator
I ended up getting a good deal on a Tanabe Medalion as I prefer the dual look, so the HKS is up for sale.
The whole system has less than 200 miles on it. HKS 75mm single, Invidia 70mm test pipe. I custom fabricated a 2.25" branch resonator which is around 34" to eliminate drone. The result, it killed drone from ~3200rpm and up.
Here is a sample of highway cruising in 6th gear:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
The branch resonator only added about 4-5lbs to the exhaust system and made a huge difference in highway driving. In 6th at any RPM above 3200, it's barely louder than stock, but screams when you get on it.
No ground clearance is sacrificed whatsoever, the pipe sits within 1/2" of the underbody.
Anyways, I am looking for $450 for the exhaust, and $125 for the test pipe w/branch resonator. Or buy both together for $550. Local pickup only for now in Stuart, FL as shipping will likely cost $80-100. Original box and all hardware / gaskets are included. Exhaust is like new with no defects whatsoever, and isn't even discolored.

Wow, that looks fantastic. What determined the length of the resonator? I kind of want to do this to my J's now. I used to have this exhaust, and sold it because I couldn't take the drone.

You have to divide the speed of sound by the frequency in hertz. Our cars drone the most in the 112-116hz range. Divide the speed of sound at that temperature in Fahrenheit by the frequency, and then divide that number by 4 (since it's a quarter wave resonator) and multiply by 12 for the length in inches.
Example
1300 (rough estimate of speed of sound in ft/sec at higher temps) / 112 = 11.60714
/4 = 2.9017
*12 = 34.8214" resonator length
It works well. I think using a bigger pipe (2.5") would have been even more effective, but this was definitely a fun experiment.
