FOR SALE: Comptech SC w/aftercooler

SOLD!!!!

PRICE UPDATE: I was asking $3600 (what i paid). I am now accepting offers ... feel free to low-ball ... but, don't expect to steal it

UPDATE: I have aquired the actual parts check list from a fellow S2ki.com member for this kit. I will attempt to complete an inventory of the parts I have and compare it to the list. I will then post the results here. Thanks to AusS2000 for this http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/images/sc/SCpartslist.jpg
http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/images/sc/ACpartslist.jpg

I will post detailed pics of all the parts later but I have done nothing with it since i purchased it (from 'aero3685's friend named 'John') besides clean it up a little.

Picture Edit:
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...f294765b89.jpg

here's another pic with all the bolts, fastener, ect that were in the bags:
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...03dad1c3b4.jpg

here is the link to the original for sale post: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...pic=466799&hl=

According to the original information it comes complete with the exception of a fuel pump. This is a description of what i was told it contained "...its got all the pulleys, bolts, pieces, fpr, lines and the modified crank pulley. We have an extra stock pulley for the car the s/c is on now."

I don't have an actual parts list of what normally comes with this kit so if anyone has one i'd be happy to complete an inventory against what i have in the boxes.

EDIT: This price includes DELIVERY by me (just call me Santa  )to Tampa, Orlando, New Smyrna Beach (cough WG cough), Jacksonville, etc (you get the idea). Just make time to have a drink or dinner with me once i get there ;) My schedule is clear for the next 4 weeks (yes, ALL DAY :p )

As for why i'm selling it ... well, i've decided that i want to compete in a stock category in SCCA and the supercharger completely elliminates that opportunity. I also have a substantial interest in having another 'toy' which should start off as a Caterham7. ;)

Thanks everyone. :hello:

dean 11-05-2007 02:56 PM

You Ocalans are so fickle.
Too bad for me it's not an AP2. Someone will snap this up, I'm sure.

Not me. My wife told me not to buy any FI kit until after she gets back from Peru. She says she'll have a BIG surprise for me.

ArchAngel2K 11-05-2007 09:57 PM

i kinda want to but at the same time i dont because i want to do a J's/toda set up so idk

Bandiscoot 11-05-2007 11:05 PM

thanks for the support guys ... i hope someone else can do what i've been too 'on the fence about' for over 6months now.

with the 135i as a dependable daily driver i'll be able to not worry so much about the S for competing. So, between now and then i've got alot of reading and research to do ... and probably a driving school as well.

Im not sure, but I think you can get the AP2 kit to work on the AP1.

I know they talked about it under the FI section a while back. Just can't remember completly.

Is your wife bringing you back a SC from Peru?

I'll have the only S2K in Florida pushing 400 llama power.
I don't know what she has up her sleeve for when she gets back. All I know for sure is that she told me to be damned sure of what I want, because I'm only going to get to do this once.

umm, i hope its what i think it is :)

SiCK HONDA 11-07-2007 06:30 AM

I have a kit from an AP2 on my AP1... I don't think it's a problem as long as you're not an '07 or later...

The pulley is different because of the 8k vs. 9k redline... Most people swap the pulley for a 7lb one anyway...

Good luck!

For anyone on the fence... Do it!

I'm really glad I did!

Anyone that tells you that "Turbo is better!.... Makes More power!!" is just jealous of the (stocklike) linear power delivery, reliablility, and overall drivability. ;)

yea right you might as well run in BSP with bill and I. AS is a super quick class. AND with the hair dryer you would run in SM2 with nate. and I dont think anyone else runs that class, mabie a turbo miata.

SiCK HONDA 11-07-2007 08:10 AM

I'm going to race next year... Speedy, so I would run in SM2?

yup, it would be you and nate. great class to run in. stock is actually one of the most competitive and quickest, you don't have a prayer without r-comps.

update on 'accepting offers' price ... :bump:

If i don't sell this locally by the end of this week I'll be putting it on Ebay.

JonBoy 11-20-2007 05:30 AM

Nice price - surprised no one has jumped on this.

RISLAR 11-25-2007 10:11 AM

I'm still interested fella, pm me if you are!!

Bandiscoot 11-25-2007 10:26 PM

This will be the last week i'll be able to respond to PM's, email or phone calls. I'll be out of town for a week starting Sunday, December 2nd (returning Sunday, December 9th.)

The entire kit is at a garage in Citra, Florida. If you wish to stop by and visually inspect the kit in my absence you must arrange that with me prior to Dec. 2nd. If you show up at the garage without an appointment you will not be able to see it. The owner will have little tolerance for anyone just showing up without prior knowledge. Yes, this is redneck country.

Once i return i will check my PM's and email. If there is still no one interested in this then i will place it on ebay.

just fyi

RISLAR 12-05-2007 09:12 AM

I'm Still interested fella!!!!!!!!!!!

RISLAR 12-05-2007 02:41 PM

Oh and i've got the complete check list also, im REALLY interested fella.

RadioZero 12-05-2007 04:15 PM

make sure you read Bandiscoots post saying he is out of town and will not return until Dec 9th.
FYI

Bandiscoot 12-13-2007 11:32 AM

thanks Radio ...

I'm back and the kit will go on Ebay next Monday for one week.

Guitar: the conditions of the sale have not changed. Sorry.

My knowledge about the S2000 differential has less to do with moderate power adders ... but, how the driver engages the clutch. If you start doing clutch-dumps repeatedly ... even with no mods, i've heard the diff is prone to breaking.

hope that helps.
