SOLD: VTSC Vortech Supercharger V2 $2,200 shipped
Location: 6511 Hazelwood Court, Rosedale, MD 21237
Means of contact: telephone 410.866.5680, PM
Price: $2,300 shipped (+ paypal, if used)
Description: Bought off member a few years ago but never got around to completing my project car. It will be a few years (like 5!) until I have the time to do so, so I'm offering this up to someone who can use it NOW. Go thrash around in your supercharged S2000 - it deserves it.
The kit is off the car (AP1) and ready to pack and ship. I put ZERO miles on it. I have looked for the previous owner in my payment history but can't find him...sorry, so I can't tell you the miles the original owner put on it.
VTSC is model # V-2, serial # 28814, carb eo # D-213-18.
Everything included, see pictures. I did not go through the entire parts list, so it is possible that a hose clamp or something minor like that is missing. All components appear to be present. Parts list here.
If you're near Baltimore, you can stop by and check it out/pick it up: 6511 Hazelwood Court, Rosedale, MD 21237. For a small fee I can deliver it to you. Those farther away, well, it's a 50-60 pound box (or boxes), I'll pack it well and use economical shipping (unless you need it fast). Call 410.866.5680 with any other questions: I'll be home this weekend working on the house and car. Leave a message if I don't answer.
Payment: send check or money order to above address, or PM me for paypal info.
Enjoy!

Some other questions I've fielded via PMs:

Hey, I'm curious about your Vortech setup. Does it work with the stock ECU, or does it require a standalone? How much boost does it make? Injectors / fuel pump required?

Thanks,
_______, this kit is designed to work with stock car (stock ECU, stock injectors, etc). Do search for power and psi, I believe it brings the motor from 240 hp to 358 hp. (about 150% of stock power) at 7 psi.
I have heard of people running different pulleys to get more psi in conjunction with running larger injectors (and possibly piggyback or standalone engine management), so that's possible, however this kit I'm selling is stock everything. - RJ

Thanks, RJ. Did you buy it new? Or was it used before you got it? I'm tempted, just trying to decide which FI route I want to take. I had the SOS kit previously @ 15.5psi, 421whp. Sold it thinking I wanted to go turbo, but now I'm leaning back toward a mild SC setup for the track so I can get a bit more speed without blowing the motor.

_______, I bought it used (in '08 or so?). I tried to track down which member I purchased it from but I can't find it in my Paypal history or my messages here or my email, so I'm sorry that I can't report the mileage the was on the kit from that owner, but he had used it. ZERO shaft play - it's in great shape

Interestingly, I bought it for the same reason you're considering: I had a project track car (sold last week) that I wanted more power but keep it safe for the engine and minimal maintenance concerns. (My Mitsu 3000GT turbo is a headache all the time b/c of the turbos). I made my choice at the time based on all info VT vs Comptech, and really they're so similar that price (at the time) made me go with Vortech. It's nice to "only" spend 2-2500 and get a complete power boost vs (like my 3KGT) that much for turbos, and that again in injectors, management etc (well, you know, you said you had a turbo setup).
Check out one of Rylan's video where he edges out the green and white camaro at the track...that totally sold me that an S2000 + supercharger is a fast and reliable combination.

How much for the Vortech supercharger? Is it complete? Mileage? Pictures? Im interested. It is complete.

I will caveat that by saying I bought it off a member here for my project car (other listing). Mileage unknown, but I can PM him and see if he remembers. As far as I know (since I never installed it!) it is complete, and partially assembled (those items that attach to the mounting plate are already installed). If anything is missing (which I don't think there is) it would only be a hose or a clamp, something small. Let me get the boxes out, lay it out, and take some pictures. I'll try to do that this weekend - I'm home doing the 120K services on my other car.- RJ
