FedEx Shipping to Canada

I need some help shipping FedEx to Canada. I made a purchase that requires an RMA to Canada. The seller does not pay -- I do. It has to go FedEx (ground.)
So I took this $140 item to the FedEx office only to find out that it would cost me $97 to ship to Canada to get my money back! It is just a FedEx "small box" and weighs about 2 pounds, valued at $20 for shipping purposes.
I am retired. My previous company had a great account with FedEx and I used to ship things through our shipping department at a huge discount.
Does anyone in the St. Louis group with a similar deal that could help me save some money with this shipment? Thanks! --Karl

Why does it have to go FedEx? USPS ships to Canada every day. Flat rate box of about the same size is $45 or half what FedEx wants. Won't be there tomorrow, of course.

The RMA states that it MUST be returned via FedEx. Otherwise I would find a less expensive option.

They obviously know that the expensive shipping cost will cause most of the return RMAs to be ignored. Basically their return policy is worthless.

Thanks.

Aren't there different shipping options at FedEx? I know "next day before noon" is available in the US at a very high price. "Don't care how many days it takes" is a lot cheaper. $100 for a 2 pound box is crazy.

Just who is this vendor you're stuck with?

XenonPro.com. Avoid them.
