My first S2k
Hey everyone, my name is Muhamed, and I am new to the board.I have been a long time member on Stlhondas but I figure there is alot of usful info on this board so I would start getting on again. I just picked up a 05 Suzuka Blue S2000. She is in good condition but needs a few minor things here and their. well actually, I had the car for 6 days and got into a bit of trouble in the rain. But I was able to get the parts that I need and hopefully she will be up and running in to time. A little about myself, well I have owned a 9ish cars, but the s2000 is my first RWD car that has any power. My last car was a 1995 Civic Si, that car was a great learning experience for me. I learned that I am never doing what I did to that thing again. Before and after pictures below.
Before

After some molestation

After I stanced it

After breaking a wheel and relizing how much I hated driving a slammed car I decided to take it back to stock(ish) and sell it. So I did.
Here is the only decent pic of the S2000, before my rain mistake.

Thank you for the warm welcome, I posted in the Intro subforum as well. I love the car so far. I have decided to keep it mostly stock until I can find a daily for this winter. I would like to take it to a few autocross events, but I have not looked into the saftey requirements for a comvertable.
Nice colour choice - welcome to RWD & to the forum. Since no-one has asked, I will:
What happened, & what was the damage? Have you worked out *why* it happened - worn tyres, or just new to the car's handling, power, & RWD? It's important to get used to the different handling between front & rear wheel drive as well as the power (both amount & delivery) of the S - it's easy to get caught out, especially on worn tyres in the wet.
The local Gateway group are awesome, and there's good advice & help available from the nearby OK & SoMO groups ... even the KS krew
