Ready for a Day Run ?
Gateway Members - Start your engines Because of MOM09 we were unable to have this fall run. Rehile will not be able to host the 2 day run this month, so we thought we could give all of you a 1 day ride to look at the leaves turn. The run below will be held on October 24th.
If you were a part of the Nov 11th Fall Run last year, you'll remember part of the route. I have modified the route slightly to limit the gravel roads in our future
Other than that we have a great route of windies and twisties which should last most of the day.About 168 miles round trip. I expect total time, including stops, lunch and photoshoot will take around 5 hours. I'm in the process of asking some friends that live in Potosi to make recommendations for lunch as the Steak House was a failure last year.
The first leg of the run will be about 82 miles (green on the map) through some nice windies and twisties. This section will be the most fun with the most aggresive driving happening. We stop in Potosi for lunch, then drive only about 30 minutes to Washington State Park for a photo shoot. We stay as long as we like and then a simple drive for another hour or so to get us home.
Meeting Place: 94/40 West Side Park & Ride lot
Date: Saturday - Oct 24th
Time: Meet at 9:30 a.m., leave by 10:00 sharp

The run has been shortened by 70+miles which should keep us around a 5 hour timeline allowing us to leave at 10:00, not 8:00. Based on some recommendations, it's probably better for me as a 7 hour road trip may be a bit much to handle my first time out.

Looks like many more are unable to make it than to make this planned date?
Jimmy/Rehile... You think we should move it to later in the month to get a better attendance??
Ron, Jimmy, Graham, Pete... and others... Will the 19th work better for everyone? The 26th is reserved for MOM08. I'm open to any of these dates right now. The later the event the longer I will probably be able to sit more comfortably.
