Switched to Hagarty Insurance for S2000

I switched to Hagarty so I could get agreed-value policy. Liberty Mutual did not offer this option, and I'm pretty sure I could not find an S2K anywhere near as nice as mine for whatever they would pay me in the event of a total loss.

Plus, Hagarty has no deductibles, but lower maximums. About the same price, and I understand that Hagarty will allow competitions (may cost extra.)
Check them out. Works for me.

Hi Karl, I just renewed my agreed value policy with Hagerty for the second year, have been happy so far ,no claims. State Farm did not offer this service...Pete

Karl, Do you still have the Suzuka AP2?

Sure do! I love her, Lee! Of course, I have spent about $2,000 on "stuff" but she still looks the same. I managed to stick my finger through the top, but that is a long story of stupidity.

I am very glad to hear. I always had a special feeling for that car. Bought it new and tried to keep it new. Best wishes to you and your wife.

I have had Hagerty since I bought my S2k. No claims. But the coverage was a lot better than other options I could find. They do have deductibles though unless you pay more for a non deductible plan. Agreed upon value is the part that really made it nice.

Not sure what you meant about "competitions". If you mean track stuff, that is only covered if you buy their additional track day insurance.

I, too, tried to use my normal carrier (State Farm) but they refused to an agreed upon value. If my car were relatively close to "book" value, I would not have minded sticking with them. Since there is a considerable gap between my car's value and book, I was not willing to take that chance so I went with Hagerty also. Haven't been with them for long nor do I have any claims but they've been great so far.

Same scenario here. So I set my value with Hagerty to about 6k more than I paid (And above blue book at that time) so if stolen or totaled I would hopefully have enough to replace it plus a lot of the parts I have in it. However, that was 6 years ago so I may look at upping it a bit since these things are not getting any cheaper! The plan was still no more expensive (a tad less actually) than if I added to my other policies and I went with the 60 mile towing/roadside package. Have used that twice so far. Once due to an electrical issue right after a track night and another after blowing a coolant hose at a track night. That latter was a 50 mile tow, so it was nice that I had opted for the 60 mile option :) I since have purchased a trailer, so will not be worried about issues at the track stranding me but still nice to have it for when I am out and about and not near home. They were easy to work with on the roadside when it was needed.
