Smile Got my car broken into last night!

So Geoff (G-Off) came over today cause we were gonna roll his fenders. He showed up around 11ish. he said
"were did that cut in your top come from"
I replied back
"oh its just normal wear and tear... same as every s2000"
so we walk to my car and oohhh sh!t uumm that sunroof wasnt there yesterday.

Half my soft top was laying on the ground with scissor cuts in it and the other half is still on the car. I called the police and got a police report, called my friendly neighborhood statefarm agent and said i can either let them handle it or i can get a quote and handle fixing it myself. Im taking the fixing it myself option.

Now my question is is after i get the quote and get a new softtop and have a lil $$$ leftover or i can get a hardtop and have a ducktaped/rigged softtop underneath the oem hardtop.

What would you do? also IF YOU FIND A SILVERSTONE OEM HARDTOP NEAR SAVANNAH LET ME KNOW

If you EVER plan on selling your car, I would use the money towards a new soft top.

I would recommend using a select service shop through State Farm rather than waiting on a claims member to come out and do a estimate!

If you get the hard top I would just have the cut soft top removed. You wouldnt be able to really use it anyway, plus youll just be one step ahead if you want to get a new soft top one day by having that one removed.

Not sure how State Farm works in GA but here in FL you either use a select service shop, which means a claims team member does not have to do an estimate, or wait on a claims team member to give you an estimate. That means State Farm is not going to let someone get an expensive estimate so they can pocket money!
