Looking for a lead on a Paintless Dent Repair tech in the Atlanta area who is familiar with dent repair on panels where Honda's rubberized "meltsheet" sound insulation materials have been applied to the underside of the fender panels.

My PDR guy initially thought removal of a couple moderate-sized dents on the left front fender and right rear fender of our recently acquired Honda S2k would be no problem... then he ran into Honda's meltsheet.

Apparently the meltsheet isn't a complete undercoating and as luck would have it, the edge of the meltsheet fell under the dents or something like that. Moreover, in addition to being a challenge to work through, removal of the meltsheet to make the PDR process easier is also not necessarily an option regardless of access issues.

He was able to improve the finish but was reluctant to work the panels too hard for fear of pushing the sheet metal past the original outer mold line.

I will advise and/or pass along the name & phone number of the PDR tech who is checking up on the fender stiffeners for me. He's apparently checking with an associate in Southern Calif. on how best to deal with dents that fall over the things.

Of course, the key is to have a PDR tech give you an assessment / estimate and get their take on how do-able the PDR repair will be. Again, the dings on the S we bought for my wife were no-kidding dents caused by falling objects or someone sitting on the front fender, not door dings. The smaller dings would seem to be easier to deal with, particularly if you haven't polished off the clear coat orange peel.

i had a ding on my front fender which was removed in 15min and cost $35. it was on wade green road in kennesaw. go north on 75 and get off on exit 273 (wade green road). go right. go about 3/4 mile on the right is a blockbuster and taco bell. this place is located between the two. great job says PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL and HAIL DAMAGE

Resurrecting an old thread to see if I could get a recommendation for PDR in Atlanta. Would be even better if it was located on the south side.....I'm in Newnan. Thanks!
