Chip's comment about the drive to Bar Harbor being pretty damn awful were spot on. I do not think I will do that ever again.

Dang indeed. That is 4'ish hours longer than our usual Dragon trip.

My problem is that I look at what flights cost (+/-$600 for two tickets from DC to Bangor, Maine) and decide that driving isn't so bad after all. Then I drive it and I'm all like "OMGWTFBBQ that was HORRIBLE!" and swear to never do it again... Until I look at flights and decide, once again, driving isn't so bad.

It is a vicious circle!

I know... I am preaching to the choir.

I thought I was prepared for it but... NOPE. Maybe I'm just getting old or something.

600 bucks to fly for both? I am figuring the flight is probably about 2 hours, so you wasted 24 hours of you and Bobbies time (12 hours each). That works out to be $25 bucks an hour. I'd say fly next time.

And we haven't even gotten into the cost of gas, tolls, wear and tear.
