But the drive up there is going to be 10-12 hours (about what it takes us to get to the Dragon) and not what I would call a quick weekend. With a baby in the car?

Welcome to fatherhood.

We are driving from home to Portland as close to non-stop as we can. We'll spend the night there then tour the Allagash Brewery and get some lunch before driving the rest of the way to Bar Harbor the next day. Bobbie has our time there all planned out - a day or so in Acadia then doing the tourist thing in Bar Harbor. We are going to try to drive all the way home from there in one shot. That'll be a 14 hour drive - my upper limit for what I can do in one day - so I'm not sure if we'll make it.

Um... So... It is about 750 miles from HF to Bar Harbor. What is the range of a Tesla Model S? Like 300 miles right? That means stopping at least once and probably twice. From what I have read, full charge takes about 90 minutes at a Tesla "Supercharger" station (which I am sure there are along 95).

If I am doing that math right, the "convenience" of having the car do the driving for me, would make the trip about... What? 3 hours longer. An already long 14 hour drive just became the Bataan Death March.
