If Tesla ever figures out how to sell cars for more than they cost to produce it will be amazing. Also amazing, the electrons stored in that giant Li Ion battery are made from burning fossil fuels or splitting atoms, but nobody wants to hear that part.

shame on you gas consumers but it has to start somewhere. 
We can't use gasoline forever. Good or bad. On another note, since you & I are the only ones here - isn't is interesting how we live in an age where no new real weapons platform has replaced the AR-15 / AK47. They're still here - there may be new guns out there but they're using those designs more or less. Yet prior to that - major change was taking place in leaps & bounds at least in the 20th Century.

Like if you and I were born in 1890 - and lived to be 80.... that's a ton of change in rifles. I was born in 1971 and they're still using the same rifle.
