I pretty much refuse to wait for a table. I'll give them the 10-15 minutes to clear a table or whatever but any more than that and I walk out. I can't explain why but it really bothers me.

It doesn't bother me because I don't go there. We just don't go out much at all & when we do it is to a local restaurant that always has seating and is always good.

You pretty much have to wait for anything in NOVA on a Friday or Saturday night. That goes double if the weather is good... Just too many people. The only way to beat it is to get reservations like four days in advance or be prepared to eat at 6 or 10.

I can't tell you how many times we have had a spur of the moment "lets go out for dinner" idea but ended up back at our least-favorite place in Charles Town because we struck out at three different restaurants in Virginia. That was when we realized that Open Table is your friend.

Our options are very limited here, so even waiting at Cracker Barrel is the norm. F that noise.

Limited options at home is why when we do go out, we go to NoVA. I don't like that I am pretty much driving my commute just to get dinner but the options just east of Leesburg are, I would argue, among the best in the country. I can get pretty much whatever I am in the mood for.

If'n we move to Leesburg, they will be right on our doorstep.
