Yesterday was a crazy day for me. Bobbie got into a bit of a fender bender around 9 am on her way to work. She called me because the airbags had deployed in her car and she was unable to drive it. I had only been at work for about 45 minutes when she called and hadn't even gotten settled in.

Everyone is okay but it was a little challenging to deal with it all. Plus the weather was absolute crap - we had record rainfall yesterday. I figure I spent about 4-1/2 hours driving around in traffic. Pretty much my least favorite way to spend a day.

Glad she's OK. It will be an expensive fender bender, bag deployment is not cheap.

That sucks, but glad everyone is ok.

Spontaneous combustion while sitting next to a gas can in the living room?

We are waiting to find out what the damage is but my gut feeling (like I am some kind of expert, right? ) is that they are going to total it. The front end is all kinds of smashed in and the hood even got damaged. If one of the lights is eff'd up (that car has the fancy ones that move when you turn the steering wheel) it'll be done. Plus the car has like 20 airbags (even one that comes out under the steering column to protect your feet). By our estimate, KBB is probably around $14k. I dunno... I think it is going to be super close.

Sorry to hear it! But glad there were no injuries. Not a good way to spend a day though for sure.
