The key words are "without any effort" because that is about how much time I put into making my yard "nice."

I used to, but I've gone to IDGAF mode in recent years. Oh well. I'll keep mowing the grass.

And there is patience. I wanted some camellias in the yard, figured everygreen tree that blooms in the winter would be kind of

Went to local places and found they wanted 40-100 for the trees. Each. F that.

Ordered 3 kinds of 2 varieties (6 total) for $15 per from the guys below--below is one of the actual varieties I ordered.

Never did mail order plants before. They came in real small pats, wrapped in plastic, with a cone shaped cardboard "hat" over the pot and plastic All 6 arrived in the same box. I planted them September 2017. They grew a little, lost some leaves, and then just sat there stagnant. I swear they were mocking me. But this year, I have one ready to bloom. One bloom, on one of the six. But progress is progress. I guess in a few years they will be doing their thing.

I'm looking forward to spring and Holly spending a few hundred bucks on flowers for them to last 2 weeks :/
Any flowers we put out get converted to deer and squirrel poop within 24 hours. We have seen deer walk right up to our front door to get to daisies Bobbie put in pots on our front deck.

If you are going to cut it, make sure you have some goo leather gloves. Liz and I cut back ours this weekend and the gloves are needed.

Not likely. The goal is to stick them in the ground and then make them someone else's problem.

Make sure you get plants that can live in the partial sun/shade.
