i purchased my dream car last October from Pacific Honda. An 20000 AP1 s2000, I'm not going to lie it probably seen better days but i still love it and its still a joy to drive! So as of recently I want to keep her going, so I wanted to do some preventive maintenance. So I've done some things already, took a park the differential and serviced it. And found out from s2k Chad that my particular car has a 4.77 Final Gear Drive, Previous owner. Replace Prop shaft (broken front seal, CV grease everywhere), replaced clutch master cylinder and slave, spark plugs (cylinder #4 all the threads was covered in oil, replace the rubber grommets), change tires to Yokohama S Drives, and stop tech pads. So now i really want to change the famous retainers to the AP2 retainers. I bought new retainers and keepers in December knowing I wanted to do them eventually. I'm already hearing a Valve Tapping noise. So by any chance the community could help me with replacing my valve retainers and keepers? I seen that a tech day is coming up. I don't have a valve spring compressor tool, so I would really appreciate the help! Or could someone point me in the direction to someone who could do valve adjustment and replace the retainers and keepers?

I don't have a valve spring compressor but I can help you do a valve adjustment. It's not hard, it's just time consuming.

You should probably inspect the retainers and have them replaced before the adjustment.

unfortunately, none of us are set up to pressurize the head too.
