I am a runner. Nike makes the kind of shorts I like because they serve several categories for me. Super lightweight and the dry easily. To pack them is like nothing is there. They have a drawstring so I can adjust them for comfort and then when I go body surfing they don't say adios. Two regular pockets for lounging with wallet and sunglasses for beach happy hour but also have a small zippered pocket to securely hold ID and room keys as I run through cities and parks. Again, the zippered pockets ensures lockdown in the ocean for swim trunk duty.
They are lined and go down enough I don't get chaffing on my inner thighs. I run 5 miles a time, about 55 minutes.

At home I often run without a shirt but I agree with others: Under Armour makes good shirts. They do not rub my nipples wrong so they don't get sore like cotton does. I also use some UA shirts for my cycle (road bike-manual) trips with buds. The shorts for biking are very specific and I know everyone has different comfort levels with various brands. The kind of seat you have also has an impact.

My stuff has to work as work out gear, swimming gear, ocean gear, lounging gear, easy to pack and dry not to mention comfort running. Nike shorts with drawstring, elastic, lined, two pockets, zippered pocket, knock it out of the ballpark.
