216hp and 148tq on dynojet today with just exhaust
I was hoping for around 200whp. I knew the car felt stronger, but I did not expect to see that big of a gain on the dyno. I am quite pleased, just need to make a trip to the track and see what she'll run.
Info:
05 model
Same dyno both pulls, but done a couple months apart.
First run: 190hp and 132tq
11/6/2005
Clear sunny day
Temps in the mid 80's
around 3k miles on the clock
delay valve removed, otherwise 100% stock
Second run: 216hp and 148tq
1/29/06
Clear sunny day
Temps in the mid 70's
around 6700 miles on the clock
delay valve removed
berk test pipe
invidia exhaust
17" ASA AR1
Eagle F1's(stock dimensions)
The only other thing I can attribute to the overall gain would be that the motor wasn't quite broke in on the previous run and maybe a slight gain from the subtle temp difference.
I think I am going to go with the k&N fipk intake next and see what kind of gains I can pick up from that. Probally not more than a few hp, but we'll see. It was spraying a good bit of fuel out the tail pipes as well, so I may be running rich? I'll see if I can get the vid from my friend. Need to get a wideband and something to tune with and maybe I could see close to 230? That combined with some gears would keep me satisified.

fuel coming out your exhaust?
I wanted to get a stock s2k to come out for reference but it was kinda short notice.
There was a dc5 with a full jdm-R swap with DC race header, 2.5 exhaust and intake that put down 193. Also saw a 02 Mustang GT with catback put down 233hp and a 6thgen si with axel back put down 134hp. Saw several other cars but those few I guess would be a good reference. A guy with a clean ass, boosted old mr2, put down 280hp. He was dissapointed because he said it made 310hp in dallas. Either way I'm sure that little car is a blast too drive.

When you were stock you only had 190 with an AP2? Maybe something went wrong with your first dyno. But I hope not, considering I have berk+invidia

Nice numbers
What kind of dyno was it done on?

wow, but sounds like uncorrected numbers. now dont think i am calling BS on ya but just for shits and giggles:
my 2002 with 30k miles:
baseline 197rwhp(mustang dyno)
+
spoon N1 and royal purple oil
213 rwhp 133rwtq(mustang dyno)
+
Vfac tune and berk TP and KN drop in filter
223rwhp 142rwtq(dyna pack)
this is the first time i have said actual numbers since my VAFC tune. since is wasnt on the (mustang) dyno that i baselined on i am not touting any #'s yet. i am planning on pulling on the mustang here in a month or so. then i'll brag(haha) about my final numbers.
either way, your making some good power, i'd say an honest 210rwhp. invidia isnt really known for power, but berk sure is!

Ya, the temp difference actually makes for 1-2% difference as it is potentially 10+ degrees F. If you look at that in terms of altitude, it's a change of about 2500 feet. Another big factor is humidity, if it was say 70% humid on the first run and 40% humid on the second. There is another difference. And lastly, yes there is a good chance that at 3000 miles it wasn't fully broken in. So if you factor the temperature into it and add 5hp for not being broken in, you could have been at something more like 200whp stock, and if humidity was a factor 205whp stock.
The only REAL way to compare dyno number changes is to do it on the same dyno, the same day. Other then that and other factors start to skew numbers enough that they are not directly comparable
By the way, I'm a pilot so all that weather stuff is something I need to know
