My friend stole my car!
Well, not literally but he could have. He has a MY02 RSX-S. He took a look at my key to the S2000 and said, "I bet you 10 bucks I can get into your car, turn it on, and drive off with my key." Of course right away, I called BS because I know that our keys are suppose to be chipped or something. Well, he took his key, and for safety purposes Im not going to describe how he did it, and he unlocked my door (the alarm did go off but the bastard already knew where my ignition kill was). He then proceeded to turn on my car and reverse! Of course he didn't take my car but that demonstration scared the sh*t out of me! I just realized how vulnerable our cars are. I know this will not work on the newer s2000s because of the design of the key.
Has anyone ever heard of this or had this happen to them? Is this something that we can prevent? Or does it boil down to the fact that if they really want the car, they can take it?
