Default LBP bites the dust(wrecked S2K)

So I've had my LBP for about 8 months now. I was going 40 down a main road 2 lane road. A soccer mom in a suv decides this was a good time to cross the road right in front of me. Her right front hit my left front. She was at a stop sign so it was automatically her fault. She gave the officer a confession that she didn't see me coming before crossing & it went into the report. My gf & I only have minor aches & pains. Seeing my shiny LBP like this really hurts. I had it towed to my dad's shop & he'll be doing all the frame/suspension/body panel repairs for me. He's about the only one I'd trust to do this work. I'm sure the lady's insurance will go way up after this repair. From what I can tell, it looks like some sort of beam connected to my a-arm sheered. I really hope that the repaint of my LBP will look normal again. I've heard this 3 stage pearl paint can be a bitch to do. Anyone have any experiences with respraying?

not sure how "GOOD" your dad is, but when you get frame damage the car will never be the same.

no worries about frame damage. i was talking to a guy who races scca solo here in chicagoland and he was telling me his buddy wrecked his gti and the shop that did the work made a contract with a company downtown chicago that puts the car on some computer aided frame straightener and just sits there and works out the frame. he said the guy said it drove better than factory.

Thanks for the support fellas. As far as to how "good" my dad is at frame repair, he is widely known to be one of the best in the ft. wayne area. It was mentioned above that they have computer aided machines to do the bending now. My dad was asked to repair a car that the computer machine couldn't fix. He uses old school weights & chains to do it, but he does amazing stuff. He's been asked by a few schools to teach frame repair, but he has little patience for that and turned it down. He took a look at it tonight & said he'll have it mechanically in good shape, just uncertain about the paint. To all the LBP guys, give your car a hug for me, LOL.
