Default KBB value increased $3000 since last month

This is a search from May and one from today:

KBB 2002 12k miles - 6/28/2010
Excellent $14,950
Good $14,250
Fair $13,075

KBB 2002 12k miles - 5/20/2010
Excellent $11,950
Good $11,250
Fair $10,300

It looks like KBB started accounting for very low mile S2000s and dramatically increased their pricing for cars under ~40k miles. Prior to whenever this change was made, if you ran a KBB search on an older S2000 it would return the same price for any mileage from 40k-zero.

FWIW, I always take KBB prices with a grain of salt, but it seems like their recent changes could have a real affect on values of older low mileage S2000s.

They are still getting cheaper and cheaper. Will be a sub 5 grand car in not too long for the high mileage older models I bet.
