***NOTE: THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED TO REGISTRATION*** (April 22, 2005)
OK...Legal Bill started the ball rolling on SF05, so this will be the official planning thread. Let's try to keep this one on topic and confined to planning the event.
NOTE: This is a Vintage event, which means Vintage members will get preference, then preVints (those under 40). The maximum number of cars will be 40 this year, doubling last year's attendance!

DRINKS AND DINNER ON SAT
There will be a cash bar set up from 5-6 pm on Sat in the garden room where we are having dinner. The dinner (6-8 pm) will be a buffet, $30 per person (including tax and gratuity - soft drinks are included; alcohol is not). The bill for the dinner will be handled separately. Rick Hesel and his wife Cindy are our honored guests for this event. So I will be collecting $10 per member. Easier if you just give me the $10 along with your payment for the dinner. Meaning that a single will be $40 and a couple $70. Thanks!!
SPA SERVICES
You must schedule your own spa treatments. See the website for those. Book early, because weekends are prime time! A list of services is under Origin Spa/Spa Services on the website.
THE DRIVE
George (gfacter) has graciously planned a route for the drive. We will be four *moderate* drive groups of no more than 10 cars each. From gfacter (George): Here are the driving instructions for both in the normal and reverse routes. I didn't put in the mileage for each turn as I had to re-write a few directions and it was off. The turns from Rt 50 are the only ones you need to keep an eye out for; the rest are easy to navigate.
There are also a few places to pull over and take pictures. I will leave that up to the group leaders.
You will need at least a half tank of gas for this drive. Radar detectors are legal in WV, but not VA, so keep that in mind when in VA.

I like the idea of Natural Bridge. I think it should be a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive on Saturday and socialize. A group diner on Saturday night. And limited to Vintage and PreVints who have participated in our forum to date. 30 to 40 cars maximum.

I put this in the other thread, but I'll post it here too so I'm good and official.
Please add me and Mark (my S-crazy +1) coming from Greenville, SC.

^ Are you serious? That would be great!

I need to talk to Martha when she gets back from Houston tomorrow, but I see no reason why we wouldn't be able to make it if it's going to be held in VA. If you all go without me and leave me to this forum without adult supervision, there's no telling what sorts of trouble I'd get into.
