Talking My 2005 Rio Yellow 2-tone Leather Interior

As some of you know I created a thread a while back asking for everyone's advice on how to do my 2-tone interior. I had this crazy idea to paint the roll hoops and went as far as stripping my entire interior!

Read more about that here:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...T&f=1&t=364018

Anyways I ended up deciding to fully replicate the OEM red/black interior and not paint the roll hoops. After a lot of photoshopping and comments from s2ki members, it seems that the plastic hoops were meant to be black - any other color would give too much yellow esepecially when viewed from the rear. Plus I plan on selling this car eventually so didn't want to hurt resale for doing a mod that perhaps only 10% of the S2000 community will like.

So here are some prelim pics - the leather is not all done yet since it has yet to be shrunk and form fitted but everything was done in leather and perforated in the same areas Honda did for the oem panels. The result is basically the same look as the OEM Honda. I chose to add a yellow matching shift boot but kept the console black for now.

Next up is some custom black mats with yellow borders similiar to what MUG sells. Not sure if I'm going to do anything with the steering wheel since I don't want to go overboard.

Enjoy the pics and please comment - negative or positive is appreciated!

I like it, looks really nice especially after the shrinking, but i wouldn't do any more yellow on the inside, you've got just enough. However, some yellow sitching on the leather wrap of the stearing wheel would accent it nicely

Nice job Rick ... I see some of your taste from e46fanatics is coming over to your S2K with the 2-tone interior. Looks good.

Very nice. I've always thought the yellow shift boot was too much. The yellow steering wheel would definitely overpower the interior with yellow.

I've always wanted to do exactly what you have done. Good job with the seats.
