that sonar method to see how much paint he has to work with is amusing. Wonder what happens when he polishes it too often over time and has no option but to you something non abrasive.

I think that washing it outside is fine, it's the polishing/waxing etc. that needs to be done in the shade. It's cool he applies the wax with his hands. I learned about enzymes and catalysts once

while thats is really awesome its unrealistic for any car that doesnt cost a small fortune to repaint.

If you do your research you can find pretty amazing stuff out there that wont damage your paint.

I use this stuff imported from germany and it works great...cost is a little higher. but nothing like that guys stuff cost.

I pay around $25 for a decent sized can of was and 15 for the polish. they tell you not to use an orbital buffer but save my workouts for the gym. I use really nice pads and cloths, Apply by hand with my head close enough to the paint see if im about to swirl a grain or two of sand into my finish. let it sit for a while then remove the wax.....

last time i did a wash and wax it took about 4 hours and looked 1000 times better than before i waxed it.

my advice is if you live in an area where there is a lot of salt, smog, or acid rain, keep clay bars handy and use cleaner wax in between major waxings....
