Blitz 01 finally powdercoated! Guess what color?
Well, they finally arrived...Overnighted from japan yO! 
17" Blitz 01
I thought I'd post here incase there were a few of you who always thought of doing something like this with 2 piece wheels.
I knew all along I was gonna be working on them already. They are no longer in productions so the lip sometimes come the the states in pretty bad shape. I just didnt want any dents or massive curbing on them, which this one was in great condition. Japanese must not clean their wheels in their lifetime at all I assume, cause they were dirtier on the inside, then a $2 skank. Here's what I've done so far....
When I first got them
After scrubbed and washed
Ummmmmmmm......still not satisfied with how they turned out. ^^^^^ Time to take off the bolts!
OMG Finally...last bolt ^^^^^^
Uh.....OOOh.... there's 3 more rims! ^^^^
Dame....I'm finally done disasembling all 4 of them and holy shit. This is gonna be a project....
I finally got the inside clean and decided to get some quotes on refinishing the lip to see how much they charge. I can do it myself but we'll see how much they charge. Otherwise, I'm gonna call this place to see if their wheel shells are gonna be compatible with Blitz.
Shoud I go with this lip? ^^^^ LOL
Ended up with this much Nuts and Bolts

My luck trying to find some of these bolts and nuts locally to replace the old ones, wasnt too successful so I'm gonna end up polishing them.....all 160!
So far, I've got about 50 done........they are looking really good. I guess I wont be replacing the 12 point bolts afterall. But I will be replacing the Flang Nuts. They are corroided to shit.
Still contemplating if I should have these powder coated black or just keep the same silver. Perhaps....GOLD?
Thats it so far....I'll update when I have all of them polished and bolted back up. Well...back to the other 3!

damn thats a lot of work but props to you. i would never put that much work in restoring wheels. i believe wheels should be all one peice, jmho.
